Two 2.5 gallon (9.463 L) bottles filled with 8X concentrate. Each liter of concentrate is reconstituted with 7 L of high-purity water to yield 8 L of working solution, for a total of 151.4 L per carton. Extra convenient, because you change lots less often. Need an extra bottle for dilution? Ask and we will send you one with your next order.
Bulk Sheath Solution 8X Concentrate
Just one 2.5-gallon (9.463-L) container of BioSure® Bulk 8X Sheath Solution produces 75.7 L of working reagent. If you use large volumes of sheath solution, it's the perfect combination of convenience and economy. Maximize savings on shipping and eliminate the hassle of making your own. This reagent has the same composition as the regular BioSure® 8X Sheath Solution.

INTENDED USE
BioSure® Bulk 8X Sheath Solution is a buffered, azide-free reagent designed for large volume sheath solution users. Each 2.5 gallon (9.463 L) container is filled with 8X concentrate and will produce 75.7 L of working (reconstituted) reagent.
The product contains an antibacterial-antifungal preservative (not azide) and may not be suitable for cells that are cultured following sorting. The reagent is for in vitro diagnostic use only.
Note: Do not use full strength. Always make a working solution of one part concentrate to seven parts water.
REAGENT COMPOSITION
(Upon reconstitution)
Disodium EDTA 1.0 mM
Potassium Phosphate, Monobasic 1.9 mM
Potassium Chloride 3.8 mM
Sodium Phosphate, Dibasic 16.6 mM
Sodium Chloride 139.0 mM
Preservative, final concentration 15 ppm
STORAGE AND STABILITY
Store at 15° - 30° C (59° - 86° F). DO NOT FREEZE. Product is stable until the date noted on the product and package labels.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
As with all chemical solutions, avoid eye, skin and clothing contact with the concentrated or diluted reagent. No special precautions are recommended. See Material Safety Data Sheet for more detail.
As an 8X concentrate, the solution is clear, colorless and particulate free. Evidence of turbidity, sediment, discoloration or bacterial/fungal contamination requires that the reagent be discarded.
INSTRUMENTATION
This reagent was designed for use on current laboratory flow cytometers requiring sheath solution.
DIRECTIONS FOR RECONSTITUTION AND USE
1. Remove tamper-proof band and cap.
2. Apply the screw-on spigot supplied with each container. CAUTION: Be sure that the spigot is in the OFF position.
3. Return the bottle to the dispensing position.
4. Lift the gray vent tab on the container handle and pierce the bottle with a sharp object. Replace the vent tab.
5. Dispense the 8X concentrate and dilute by mixing with seven parts purified water. The ratio for the working solution always should be one part reagent to seven parts water. Diluted reagent is ready for use.
6. When reagent bottle is empty, dispose of it responsibly by recycling.
